McLEAN, Phyllis June

June 21, 1926 - May 10, 2015

It is with much sorrow that we celebrate the passing of our remarkable Aunt Phyllis. She passed peacefully in her sleep after fighting a lung infection for a week. She is predeceased by her 5 siblings and is survived by her sister-in-laws, Pauline and Lena McLean as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her life was spent serving others: first as a teacher in Northern Alberta, and later in response to the call of the Lord as a missionary in tributaries of the Amazon River for over two decades. She retired to Abbotsford after finishing her time in Brazil and became active in the Abbotsford Baptist Church. There will be a memorial service celebrating Phyllis' life starting with a visitation at 10:00am at Society's First Alternative, 3070 - 275A Street, Aldergrove, B.C., and then a graveside memorial service at Hazelwood Cemetery lead by Pastor Murray Archibald beginning at 1:30pm. There will be a small reception to follow at the Abbotsford Baptist Church, 33651 Busby Rd., Abbotsford, B.C. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to either the Abbotsford Baptist Church or her former mission, Crossworld.org
