Phyllis McFarlane, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at Abbotsford Regional Hospital on April 2, 2022. Phyllis was born 96 years ago in Edmonton Alberta to Fredrick and Lorena Turpin. Phyllis grew up in Hammond, she and David raised their family in Burnaby before retiring to Abbotsford in 1997. After raising her family and supporting David in his battle with cancer she spent the next twenty-two years living independently in her Abbotsford home, twenty years volunteering at the Abbotsford Red Cross and being very active in the Abbotsford senior community. Phyllis was a strong independent woman who was devoted to her family. She will be missed.
She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, David in May of 2000 and is survived by her four children, Patricia and Dennis Myhre, David and Marnie, Joy and Michael Henderson, Richard and Rose, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
