KLASSEN, Phyllis Ann
Mrs. Phyllis Ann late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on December 10, 2010 at the age of 80 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She is survived by daughters Brenda Thiessen, Connie (Randy) Haugan and son Gordon (Sharon) Klassen, grandchildren; Michael (Amy), Carllee, Nick, Warren (Candice), Heather, Adam (Stephanie), Rachel (Chris) and Levi, great grandchildren James, Audrey and Renee, brothers; Ronald (Lois) Hayes, Clayton (Pat) Hayes and brother-in-law Don Keenan and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She was predeceased by her husband John and sisters Lois and Eileen.
Phyllis was born in Trossachs, Saskatchewan on August 17, 1930 to Charles and Mabel Hayes. She married John Klassen in 1952 and served alongside him in church ministry until his passing in 1992. Phyllis was active in leading Bible studies, playing/teaching piano and staying involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was a woman who clearly loved Jesus with her whole heart and trusted in Him completely. She was faithful in prayer and her example has inspired many friends and family members. She will be missed dearly. A memorial service took place on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford, BC, with Rev. G. Klassen and Rev. E. Rempel officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
