Phyllis Cleveland (nee Briggs) passed away peacefully on January 3, 2006 at the age of 91 in the Special Care Unit at Pleasant View Care Home. She was born in Mawer, Saskatchewan and moved to B.C. in 1919. Phyllis is survived by her sister Dorothy Varcoe, Calgary, Alta; daughters Jane Gosselin (Harold) Mission, Mary Jones Burnaby, Patricia Walsh (Bob) Madeira Park; her son Murray Jones (Linda) Mission; stepchildren Edward Morgan (Marissa) Prince George, Ann Stenekes (Bill), Queensland, Australia, Anne Thornton, Vancouver and David Allan (Donna) Powell River and their children; grandchildren Patricia Davies (Rick) Deroche, Denine Verigan (John), Allan Jones (Judy) Mission, Adelle, Leslie, Gordon and Kenneth Jones, Kirk Engh Mission, Julie Wein, Aldergrove, Gregory Engh (Anique) Mission. Shauna Loftsgard (Dan) Mission. She has many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband John Henry Jones 1956 her second husband Edward Morgan 1980 her third husband Glen Allan 2001, brothers George. Frank and Lawrence Briggs, her grandson Nathan 1973 and her stepson Ben Morgan 1994.
The family of Phyllis Allan would like to thank Dr. Finch and the staff of Pleasant View Care Home especially in the Special Care Unit for their loving care and support of both our mother and ourselves. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Pauls Presbyterian Church 8469 Cedar Street at 1:00 Saturday, January 7, 2006.Cremation and Internment at the Hatzic Cemetery prior to that date.
