He leaves behind his loving wife of 70 years Elizabeth (Rollick) and 4 children Ron (Ingrid) Rick (Sandy) Susan (Daryl) and Sandy (Henry). He worked for BC Tel until he retired at age 56. Phil loved the outdoors, which showed in his 30 years as a volunteer ski patrol at Mt Baker. When the kids were young, he coached baseball, was a Scout leader, and taught his kids outdoor skills and athletics of all kinds including a love of motorcycles. Grandchildren have special memories of activities at their cabin on Harrison Lake. Together, Phil and Liz traveled the world on outdoor adventures. Phil had many hobbies. He built the home they lived in for nearly 60 yrs. He was an incredible ballroom dancer and he loved vintage autos. He built a 1928 yellow Ford pickup truck from a box of parts.

Special thanks to the staff at Bevan Lodge for their care and compassion during his short stay there.

By request there will be no funeral. His family will gather later to celebrate a wonderful man and a life very well lived. He will always be in our hearts.
