RATZLAFF
Peter Ratzlaff, of Abbotsford passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009. Peter was born in Gnadenheim, Siberia on Sept.9, 1913 and immigrated to Canada in 1926.He married Margaret Reimer in 1937 and moved to Abbotsford where they settled and built their home and farm on Huntingdon Rd.
The church life and his willingness to serve played an important role in his life. Peter was predeceased by his wife Margaret, and son Fred. He is survived by his son Dan (Agnes), Lynda (Wilf Friesen) Marianne (Don Funk) and daughter in law Patty Ratzlaff. Fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7th from 7-9 p.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd. Abbotsford. The funeral service will be held at South Abbotsford Church, 32424 Huntingdon Rd, Abbotsford, on Thursday Oct 8th at 2:00 p.m. A Special thanks and appreciation to the staff at Menno Home and we are thankful for their dedication and care given to our father.
