PETERS - Peter. Our beloved father, and Opi to all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Dad was born in Friedensfeld, Russia, on November 16, 1913 to John and Maria Peters. He left us with a terrific legacy of faith, passion, encouragement and prayer. We will miss him! Dad was predeceased by his wife, Annie; daughter-in-law, Linda; brothers, Frank, Hank, Dave, John, Nick, sisters, Margaret, Elsie and Anne. He leaves to mourn children, Nick (Ruth), Charlotte (Gary) Hanik, Helen (Ty) Gillespie, Anita (Don) Kennedy, John (Marion), David (Cheri), Charles (Debra), Frank (Leslie), Stan (Lori); 44 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Bea Peters and many relatives and friends. We want to say thank you to all the people who cared for Dad at Menno Terrace and then the hospital for his last day with us. A viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 20 from 7-9 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. On Wednesday, December 21, the burial will take place at 11am at the South Poplar Cemetery, Gladwin Road, followed by the memorial service at South Abbotsford MB Church, 32424 Huntington Road, at 1:30 pm.
