Peter John Willms was born on April 25, 1932 in Hepburn, Saskatchewan. He graduated from this life to meet his Lord on June 2, 2005, after a courageous year of living with cancer.
Many were influenced by his gentle spirit and gifted leadership. Peter taught and was an administrator in the Abbotsford School District for 35 years.
Peter’s life and love have deeply blessed and enriched the lives of those who mourn him: his loving, devoted and caring wife of nearly 50 years, Sue Willms; his children Ivan and Judy Willms, Cheryl and Cody Gunderson, and Rhonda Willms and Wes Adrian; his grandchildren Deanna, Lucas and Lauren and Dustin Willms, Brandon, Brittany, and Kylinn Gunderson, and Brynn Adrian; his siblings Margaret and Bill Wiens, John and Gertie Willms, Rudie and Louise Willms, Art and Elsie Willms, Hilda and Peer Penner, and Al and Lynn Willms.
A celebration of Peter’s life is being held on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 12:00 noon at Central Heights MB Church in Abbots-ford.
