Peter passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019 at the age of 99. He is the dear father of Bryan (Kathy) and Robert (Valerie). He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren Eric and Ray (Heidi); Kyle and Colin (Nicole) and his great-grandchildren Nolan and Sage. Peter is predeceased by his wife Ann (nee Loewen) and son Timothy. Peter was born in Saskatchewan and moved to the Fraser Valley in the mid 1930's. He served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps during WW2 and after demobilization, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was an X-Ray technician all during his military career. Peter retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in 1970 as a Warrant Officer. He was awarded the Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and clasp, War Medal 1939-1945 and the Canadian Forces Decoration and clasp. After retiring from the military, Peter worked for the Ottawa Civic Hospital and retired as their Chief Radiographer in 1985. Peter and Ann moved back to Abbotsford in 1991 to explore new horizons. The family would like to extend our extreme appreciation to all the staff at the Mayfair Senior Living and Care in Abbotsford for their obvious care and love of Peter.
A Celebration of Life will the held in the spring. Donations in Peter's memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
