Mr. Peter Britz, life long companion of Rosa Britz, of Abbotsford, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at the age of 79 years.
Peter also leaves to cherish his memory his five children, Peter Britz, Margareta Britz, Erich Britz, Karin Rice and Christine Skaley; eleven grandchildren, Mako Peter Britz, Saffron Celeste Britz, Werner Tyson Britz, Anique Chelene Esau, Kyra Christine Esau, Nicholas Peter Skaley, Karin Rosalein Skaley, Sonia Denise Rice, Craig Mathew Rice, Robert Hayes and Jeremy Hayes; four great-grandchildren, Malokai, Arrianna, Logan and Mahlia; one sister, Elizabeth Ambrosi; and two nephews, John and Henry Ambrosi. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Jakob and Margareta Britz.
Peter was born on January 27th, 1925, in Romania and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He was a hard worker, having worked for the City of Abbotsford for 27 years. At the time of his retirement, he was the Shop Foreman of Carpentry. Peter loved travelling, reading, music and wood working. Peter had a story or joke for everyone, always bringing a smile to someone’s face. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Graveside Services were held at Hillside Cemetery, Medicine Hat, Alberta, where Peter was interred into his parents grave, Jakob and Margareta Britz, on Thursday, November 4th, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Loren Hosfield, officiating.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the Woodlawn Funeral Home, 23210 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford, BC.
