SHAMBER, Patrick D. On August 9, 2012 after a lengthy struggle with cancer Patrick passed away peacefully with his family at his side. The son of the late George and Ruth Shamber he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice, a son Michael, a daughter Nikki (Paul) Schmidt, five grandchildren Emerson, Raiya, Anton, Nelson, and Lincoln and a sister Dolores (Earl) Proulx. Patrick was pre-deceased by his sister Carol and brother Steve. The family would like to thank Dr. Galbraith, Dr. Vickars, and the staff on the oncology ward in Abbotsford, Regional Hospital, BC. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held on Monday, 12:00pm, August 20, 2012, at Bridesville Community Hall, Bridesville, BC.
