CAREY Patrick. Patrick was born in County Cork, Ireland January 16, 1931 and passed away peacefully in hospice on August 31, 2013 after an 18 month battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Elizabeth Carey and 5 of his 8 siblings. He is survived by his brother David and his sister Betty. He will be greatly missed by Margaret, his wife of 54 years, his daughter Kathleen, son-in-law Craig (Beggs) and grandchildren Trevor and Bridget. Patrick and Margaret moved from Montreal to Mission, BC upon their retirement in 1991. For the past 18 years they have volunteered at the Food Bank at St. Joseph's Parish and have worked tirelessly towards having a Food Bank building erected on the parish grounds. Prayers will be offered on Thursday Sept. 5 at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday Sept. 6, 2013 at 11 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mission. We are grateful for the wonderful care he received from Dr. Patel, Roger Young NP, and all the staff at Mission Memorial Hospital.
