It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mom at the Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission, BC on December 26, 2008. Pre-deceased by her husband Glenn (1973) and parents Fred and Ethel Boyd. Mom will be dearly missed by her daughters Georgia (Ken) Rempel and Louise (Bevan) Rempel. Jordan, Gabe and Annika will miss their Nana. Sister Helen (Russ) Clinton, nephews Wade, Bryce (Shelly), Geoff (Mary) Clinton and great nephews Stuart, Ruark and Gavin Clinton. Extended family of Glenn’s, Avon (Pat) Tougas, Bill (Laura) Ellwood; grandchildren Leigh Tougas and Erin (Aaron) and Lucy Evans, special occasions will never be the same.

Born June 16, 1942 in Kamloops, BC, Pat grew up in Clinton, BC; completed high school in Kamloops, worked in Merritt, McKenzie, Clearbrook and eventually settled in Mission working for McMahon Lumber, Fiberglass Canada and Watkins Sawmills from which she retired in 2002. Since 1980 has been an active member of Girl Guides; loved to garden, sew, quilt and entertain family and friends. Mom was an adventurous traveler, though spending time with family and friends at the Green Lake cabin brought her the most joy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Northside Community Church, 33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission, BC, reception to follow. Patricia will be laid to rest at the Old Timers Cemetery in Clinton, BC on Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m., tea and desserts to follow at the Cariboo Lodge. All are welcome to bring special memories of Mom to share. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Christine Morrison Hospice Foundation, 7324 Hurd St., Mission, BC, would be appreciated. Thank you to all of mom’s friends who visited her daily and the exceptional care that she received at the hospice.
