It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom and Grandma.
Born Norah Patricia Horrobin in Belfast, N. Ireland, Pat is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Rev. Ben Taylor (2010) and their son Barrie (1994).
She is survived by her loving children, Lesley (Alan), Daphne (David), Sharon and Paul; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
With a call to the United Church of Canada in 1956, Ben and Pat emigrated from Ireland, beginning their adventure in Powell River. They built loyal congregations in several BC cities before retiring to Abbotsford.
No matter where, Pat was always involved in the church community and her passion was singing in the choir. She and Ben loved to travel, collecting a lifetime of memories. Pat was a devoted, supportive wife and a nurturing mother, quietly strong, but a gentle soul who loved us all unconditionally. She was a true angel on earth, and with her faith, we know she is safely home now with Ben and Barrie, but she will be deeply missed.
We are so grateful to the staff at Elim Village in Surrey, who were wonderful in their care of Mom during the last year, especially in these difficult times. The family will arrange a celebration of Mom's life, when all can be together again. In lieu of cards or flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
