With much sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Nora Mary Field nee (Woolterton) at the age of 88, in Abbotsford, BC. She was born in, London, UK. She is predeceased by her husband Gerry and her brother Syd (Maureen).

Nora is mother to Chris (Jo-ann) and Mark (Fiona), grandmother to Twylla, Yolanda, Siobhan, Liam, Kieran, Connor, and great grandmother to Abigail, Lily and Scarlett, Aunt to Kevin, Michael, Antony, Anita and Mary.  

Nora was a dedicated teacher and educator all her life, she attended teacher training college in England. Then Nora sailed from England to Canada with her husband and two young children, arriving at Prince George in 1964, before moving to Burnaby and working for the Burnaby School District.

She received her Bachelor of Education from U.B.C. in 1974. Nora and Gerry both were hired by St Anns Catholic church in Abbotsford to run all the educational programs for seven years. Nora later in her career taught at Correctional Facilities in and around the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland for 11 years.                                                       

Nora will be dearly missed and remembered for her commitment and love for her family, her extended family at Saint Matthew's and all her many dearest friends, each and everyone of you were so special to Nora. 

A celebration-of-life for Nora will be held at Saint Matthews, 2087 McMillian Road, Abbotsford on Saturday January 13th at 1pm, followed by light refreshments.
