Neel Huttema. September 27, 1942 - November 10, 2011. The Lord has called home to glory His child, Neel Huttema. He leaves behind his beloved wife Ankie of 43 years, children: Robert and Carolyn (de Vries), Derrick, Adam, Wendy and Kendra; Bernice and Bruce Waardenburg, Bejamin and Jody; Anita and Andrew de Leeuw; Kevin and Tamara, Donald, Allen and James; Cindy and Tim Vanderopl, Mark, Megan, Stephen, Kathryn, Daniel, Bradley, Bethany, Ryan and Esther; Dixie and Wiebe Kroezen; Raymond. Predeceased by his parents Piet and Anne; brother-in-law Bill Kuit. Also survived by his family Klaas and Mannie; Mary and Neal VanderGugten; Ben and Ineke; Florence and George Boeve; Alice Kuit; Jane and Ite Veurink; John and Minnie; Jeanette and Henry Van Delden; Coby and Pete Veldman. Dad was born in Delfzyl, The Netherlands. He immigrated as a young boy to Canada with his family. As a young man he worked laying concrete for Schaeffer Cement. Later he was involved in the agricultural community of Abbotsford until 1991. Part of the family moved to Smithers. Dad passed away in Vancouver General Hospital from a brain injury. "For I know the plans I have for you." declares the Lord. Jeremiah 29:11. Memorial service was held at 1:00 in the Canadian Reformed Church at Smithers on November 15, 2011.
