Myla Genevieve Mehain (nee Easton) was born July 29, 1936 in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, daughter of George and Annetta Easton. She is predeceased by her brothers, Terry, and Brian Easton. Myla passed away peacefully in Abbotsford Regional Hospital on November 2, 2012 ending her struggle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, George, of 57 years, and sons Jeff (Carrie), Paul, Patrick (Adriana), and daughters Robin (Norm), and Valisa (Bob), and their 8 grandchildren, Erika, Erin, Rachel, Emma, Sidney, Vincent, Kayleb, and Lyla-Love. Myla was a woman of many talents starting out as a telephone operator where she met the love of her life, George. They soon married and started their family, and picked up roots and moved to Nanaimo where they operated a motel before settling in Langley, BC. Myla loved to bake and often entertained. She volunteered at numerous facilities within the church and outside such as the Blind Club. She was always ready to tell a story and make somebody smile with her infectious laugh. She loved to travel and they made many friends along their ways across the US and Canada in their trailer. Many a good time was spent with family in Birch Bay, Washington where the family loved to congregate and have a hot dog or 2, and share a laugh and everyone was always made to feel welcome whether it was at their cabin/trailer or their house. Myla will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She will be missed mostly for her love of life and love of people she knew. She was welcoming and understood the spirit of living a true and happy life. She will always be missed and cherished in our hearts as loving wife, loving mother, and loving Nana.
