Mrs. Maria Woloshen late of Mission passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2003 at the age of 92 years. She is survived by 6 children, John (Faye) of Medicine Hat, AB, Helen (George) Coutu of Assiniboia, SK. Michael (Verna) of Abbotsford, B.C., Madeline (Ted) Hornsby of Mission, B.C., Linda (Dale) Christy of Princeton, B.C. and Daniel (Maureen) of Kitimat, B.C.
Maria was predeceased by her loving husband John, daughter-in-law Faye and grandson David.
Maria emigrated from Poland to Canada in 1926 where she met her husband John and they were married in 1930. Most of their lives were spent in south-western Saskatchewan prior to moving to Mission, B.C. in 1955.
Retirement saw them move to Rutland, B.C. in 1973. Upon John's passing in 1979, most of Maria's time was lived in Mission, B.C.
Prayers and Memorial will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's RC Church in Mission with Father Justin Trinidad officiating. Burial will be held at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, Thursday, August 14, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.
