Mrs. Geraldine Barthel, late of Abbotsford, went in to the loving arms of Jesus on October 8, 2005 at the age of 47. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years Brian; dear daughters Rebecca and Sarah; her mother Margje
de Lange; five siblings and spouses, her parents in-law Pete and Bep Barthel, and Brian’s four siblings and spouses and numerous nephews and nieces.
She will be missed at her places of work: the family home, Barthel Photo, and Speedline Solutions. She will be remembered for her passionate faith in Jesus Christ which she openly shared with others through her joyful personality. Her involvement in many ministries at Gateway Community CRC will be missed.
She was predeceased by her father Hendrikus (Dick) de Lange in 1997.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Gateway Community Christian Reformed Church in Abbotsford, BC.
Special thanks to the excellent doctors, nurses and technicians at the CSICU at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. Donations in her memory may be made to the Docsek Orphanage “Bridge of Life” in Africa.
