Mrs. Aukje (Agnes) de Goede, late of Abbotsford, BC, went to be with her Lord and Saviour in the early morning hours of October 10, 2018. She was 86 years old.
She will be missed by her husband of 65 years, Henk de Goede, her children Betty (Harry) Wierda, Cora (Henry) Rempel, Mary-Ann Groeneweg, Rose (Steve) Dykstra, Gertie Timmer, Mike, Ken, Andy, Hugo, and Travis,17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 brother Marten Apperloo and 2 sisters Aaltje (Alice) DeRuiter and Doetje (Doet) VanDonselaar.
She was predeceased by grandchild Haley Timmer, son Jim de Goede, son-in-law Jake Groeneweg, son-in-law John Timmer, and 10 of her brothers and sisters.
Aukje enjoyed people and talking to new immigrants to Canada, as she was one as well. She loved her family and life in the country; and enjoyed the beauty of the mountains surrounding her home.
A celebration of life was held on Monday October 15, 2018 at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, Abbotsford, BC. Pastor Rudy Ouwehand led the service.
