On Sept. 23, 2005 Mr. Giuseppe "Joe" Mezzatesta passed away peacefuilly at Kamloops, BC at the age of 80 years.
Joe is survived by his four daughters: Maria Mawhinney of Vancouver, BC, Michelle McDonald of Bellingham, WA, Teresa Johnston of Mission Viejo, California, and Angela Mezzatesta of Quesnel, BC; his three sons Frank of Victoria, BC, Bruno of Kingston, Ontario and Ben of Kamloops, BC; 19 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sister Carmela Mezzatesta.
Joe was born in Bovolino, Italy on Jan. 2, 1925. He came to Canada in 1952 and lived his life in British Columbia. He enjoyed the outdoors and cherished his grandchildren.
The Rev. Father Peter Nguyen celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Kamloops.
