Allan passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on July 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, children Edie (Ken), Rob (Dawn), Susan (Doug), Cindy (Mark) and Barb (Glenn), 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Allan served for 24 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force with postings in Canada, Europe and 2 tours of Alert in Canada's far north. He also served as a UN peace keeper in Cyprus. Following his career in the Air Force, he spent 10 years with the Correctional Service of Canada.
His love was his family and his passions included fishing, sunshine, walking his dog, curling, golf and humorous story telling.
He will be forever remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
A celebration of Allan's life will be held at Trinity Memorial United Church on George Ferguson Way in Abbotsford on August 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the BCSPCA or Elizabeth's Wildlife Center.
