Morgan Rickaby, late of Abbotsford, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the age of 83 years.
He is survived by his wife, Herta, children: Gerry (Patricia) of Chilliwack, Beverly (Jim) of Edmonton, Ron and Brian (Debra) of Abbotsford and Delwayne (Perry) of Squamish; sister Mary as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy, and brother Jack.
Morgan was born in Vancouver and lived in the Lower Mainland most of his life. He served overseas during WWII in the Tank Corps. After the war, he started his family in Vancouver, eventually settling in Abbotsford in 1960s. During his working life, Morgan was involved in furniture and auto sales. He had a life-long love for his painting, something he and others treasured.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road (at Sumas Way), Abbotsford.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.
