SHORE, Monty Lens Sanford L.Cdr (L)
L. Cdr. (L) Monty Lens Sanford Shore R.C.N. (R) Ret. C.D., B.ASc. in E.E., P.Eng. long time resident of Abbotsford and founding member of both the Abbotsford Airshow and Flying Club passed away on May 28 at the age of 91. He is survived by his loving partner Joyce Oshiro and his 3 sons: Bob, Doug (Eda) and Ron, and predeceased by his son Ted. Also surviving grandchildren: Hana, Adam (Cat), Chad, Jenna and great grandchildren: Willow and Riley. Monty was a long time supporter of the community through his efforts in Abbotsford Flying Club and Abbotsford Airshow and was still very involved right until the time of his death. He always felt that volunteering in the community was part of the rent that one must pay to live in the community. A celebration of life is planned for 4:30 pm on Sunday June 7th at the Abbotsford Flying Club 30540 Approach Dr Abbotsford Airport 604-854-3670. A full BBQ Starting at 5:30 pm will be hosted by the Abbotsford Flying Club and his family after the Memorial Service.
