HALL Mildred (nee Barker). Mildred Hall, late of Abbotsford, BC, peacefully passed away on December 8, 2013 at age 98 years. Mom was born in Victoria, BC on August 28, 1915 and with her perpetual smile she leaves her children Lorna (Richard), Larry (Melba), Don (Karen), Verne (Evelyn) along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Raymond Gilliland in 1988 and her second husband Ernest Hall in 1998. She was the eldest of 7 siblings and the last surviving.
She loved her piano and for 50 years served her Lord as Pianist at Sapperton Baptist Church as well as offering her music to countless services over the years. Mom was a long-time resident of Coquitlam, BC and in later years she moved to Abbotsford where she continued to bless everyone around her with her music and her positive outlook. She has passed her passion for music on to all generations of her family. To her last day Mom maintained her profound faith and her sense of humor. She left us with a beautiful photo of her on her last day on this earth with her beautiful smile. Special thank-you to Marilyn Smart and staff at Sherwood Crescent Manor, Dr. William Chan, as well as the staff of the ACE unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. The family invites all to share her celebration of a life well lived on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 12 noon at her home Church, Maranatha Baptist Church, 3580 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford.
