April 17, 1941 - April 30, 2021
Gone from our sight but never from our hearts, it is with warm wonderful memories of a full and happy life well lived his way, that we announce the peaceful passing of Mike Berlinguette with his family by his bedside on the morning of April 30th.
He is survived by his wife Linda Coukell of 43 years, his children: Aaron (Gail) with 9 children and 6 grandchildren, Travis (Kriss) with two children, Neal with 1 daughter and Laura with 2 children, and his six sisters.
Born in Rouyen, Quebec Mike worked his way across the Provinces and Territories working in construction and owning his own businesses (restaurant, garden centre, retail etc.). Mike always made the best of a difficult situation, even when his arthritis was very painful and affecting his fingers and hands he would push through and get the job done!
He enjoyed spending time on the water with his fishing buddies and long-time best friend Bruce. Mike had a huge heart and loved sharing his time, garden, knowledge and lending a helping hand to all in need; he spent many hours volunteering in the Abbotsford Community as well as the 1789 Royal Westminster Army Cadets in Hope, BC.
Many thanks to the Abbotsford Hospital and Cancer Centre, and their very knowledgeable and professional doctors and nurses, Fraser Health and Home Health Care with their exceptional Care Aides; for their time, patience, explanations and outstanding care.
In lieu of flowers a donation could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A Celebration of Life will be held when conditions allow.
