Michael Jay Rogers Wywka resident of Abbotsford, BC passed away July 22, 2017 at the age of 43. He was born in Richmond, BC on April 12, 1974 (Good Friday that year), to Mike and Gloria Wywka. Mike is survived by sisters Miki Butterworth (Lucky), and Margaret Snodderly Guariz (Joe), and brother Roger Snodderly. He is predeceased by his parents Mike and Gloria Wywka, sister Leslie Snodderly Henwood and brother Royle Snodderly. Mike (affectionately known by family as Michael) lived in Ladner until the age of 3 when the family moved to a small hobby farm in Aldergrove. He attended Coghlan Elementary school and D.W. Poppy Secondary, graduating in 1992. Post secondary education included Kwantlan College, Columbia Academy of Recording Arts and Vancouver Community College. He worked in construction, marketing and computer graphic design on publications, magazines and catalogues. Mike was friendly and fun loving and enjoyed taking part in what life had to offer. He could always make you laugh and had a mischievous smile. Michael always made time for and kept in touch with friends and family. Mike loved music and was a part of several bands over the years. He attended numerous concerts and music festivals and loved to travel. Mike enjoyed going for hikes as well and loved the water, be it the ocean, a lake or river. Other hobbies included snowboarding, cinematography and sound design. He will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. A memorial service is being held on Sunday August 27, 2017 at 1 pm at the Aldergrove Legion. Donations can be made to Canadian Mental Health Association (B.C. division) on his behalf.
