Mr. Michael Howard Campbell of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away on July 29th, 2005 at the age of 64. Michael is survived by Nancy, his loving wife of forty years, his son Scott and daughter-in-law Kim, their children Tristan and Sophie, and his daughter Heather Campbell, her partner Blair John Purda and their daughter Riley.
Michael was born in Brampton, Ontario to John and Phyllis Campbell. He attended college at Ryerson Institute of Technology (now Ryerson University), completing a degree in Chemical Technology. After graduation, Michael and Nancy were married in Brampton in 1965 where they started their family.
In 1979, Michael, Nancy, Heather and Scott moved to Abbotsford. In Abbotsford, he was an active runner, squash player, and car-racing enthusiast. He was a member of the Lotus Car Club of Great Britain, the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, and the VRC Fitness Club. In his later years, Michael was a realtor in Abbotsford.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, August 2nd at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Donations can be made in his memory to B.C. Children’s Hospital.
