KENNEDY, Merle William Carl born March 19, 1933 in Cutknife, SK died of idiopathic lung fibrosis in Abbotsford, December 19, 2012. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Agnes Jean (nee Mackie), his children Terry, Tom (Patsy), and Dawn (Cliff), grandchildren, Candice, Aubrey, Tyler, Amy and Jody and 8 great-grandchildren. As well, he will be missed by his sisters, Betty, his twin, Marie and Lorraine. He was predeceased by his brother, Lorne. Merle proudly grew up on the prairies and moved to Trail, BC in 1949 where he met Agnes. He attended British Columbia Bible Institute and pastored with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada throughout BC for 28 years. After leaving the ministry, he held a number of jobs until he retired. He loved hymns, trains, his 1940 Packard, antiques and any electronic gadget. He was a hard worker, very social and never forgot a face or remembered a name. He laughed easily, preached practically and loved life whole-heartedly. He's in the presence of Jesus. Many thanks to Dr. Greyling and the staff of Abbotsford Regional Hospital who provided exceptional care. No flowers please, but donations can be made to Summit Pacific College Library in Merle's memory. Cremation has taken place with later internment in Trail, BC. A memorial service will be held at Christian Life Community Church, Abbotsford, BC, December 28, 1:00 pm.
