July 17, 1982 - January 21, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Melissa Rose Dean announces her passing and return to her Heavenly home to be with her Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Melissa fought with strength, bravery, courage, and faith against cancer for the past two years.
She was blessed with a large and loving family. She is deeply missed by her husband, Leighton and their four children; Beckhem, Passion Rose, Cannon and Kinglsey, also, by her parents Dave and Marlene Hawkes, sister Nicole (Mark) Eshleman (children - Téa and Tristan), brother Kaelan, in-laws Cal and Pat Dean, and sister in-law Trish Theragood (daughter - Bria, son - Micah). Melissa will also be remembered by her numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
She was an avid animal lover since her childhood and had many dogs over the years. Melissa cherished her precious children and had a great zeal to live life to the very fullest. She was very creative and loved to paint and scrapbook. She could often be found outdoors at the beach with her family laughing and having fun.
Melissa was born in Maple Ridge, BC and spent many years living with her husband and children in White Rock, BC. In the summer of 2018 Leighton, Melissa, and their children moved to Newport Beach, California.
Due to travel and gathering restrictions the family is hoping to have a celebration of her life in BC at a future date.
Forever in our hearts, Melissa Rose, till we meet again, we will treasure the memorable moments we had with you.
