GUNTHER; Melane
On the evening of October 20, 2016, Melane passed from this world to her eternal Home. She was a strong woman who prevailed through many adversities and we, the family, are sad that she had to leave us. But we celebrate who she was and rejoice in the knowledge of God's promises.
Melane was predeceased by her son Edward, son-in-law Adrian, sister Anna, and brothers Arno, Vernon, and Norman. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Peter; her children, Peter (Marita), John (Ingried), David (Teresa), Philip (Janine), and Ruth (Craig); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as her brother Ed and sister Elvira. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, October 26 from 7-9 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. Interment at 11 am on Thursday, October 27 at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery with a service to follow at 1 pm in the EbenEzer Mennonite Church Gym, 2051 Windsor St., Abbotsford.
