CHAHAL, Megh Singh. April 4th, 1924 - Dec. 4th, 2011. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather & brother; Megh Singh Chahal. He passed away peacefully at the age of 87 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Ghalib Kalan (Punjab) and immigrated to Port Alberni, BC in 1956, and then settled in Abbotsford in 1997. He was predeceased by his loving wife Gurdial Kaur, sisters Mukhtiar Kaur and Bant Kaur. He is survived by his daughter; Joginder (Surinder), sons; Paul (Amarjit) and Ajmel (Kulwant), grandchildren; Arvinder, Amanjit (Jesse), Avtinder, Tejinder, Karen, Bikramjit & siblings Mukhtiar & Bant Singh. He will be dearly missed by his family, extended family and friends. Special thanks to the family doctor, Abbotsford Palliative Care Team and the Abbotsford Home Support Society staff.
Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, December 18th, 2011 at Riverside Funeral Home in Delta at 11:00 am, followed by prayer services at Gurdwara Kalgidhar Darbar in Abbotsford.
