It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Wolovets on January 24, 2007 at the age of 79.
She was predeceased by her father John, mother Dora, brothers Bill, Ed and George, sister Elsie and niece Sharon.
She is lovingly remembered and missed by Tony, her son Ken (Linda), daughter Judy (Ashok), grandchildren Nadine (Ray), Shane, Felicia, Stephanie, Mitchell, Justin and Alyssa, brother Gord, sister Kay and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Mary was born in Saskatchewan to John and Dora Odowichuk, one of 7 children. She then moved to Toronto and married Tony Wolovets, making Toronto her home until their move to BC in 1966. Upon moving to BC in ’66, she started work as a retail clerk at Sears in Burnaby until she retired in 1992. After her retirement she often spent many hours making flower arrangements for family and friends. Not only were her arrangements beautiful, but she discovered in herself a new talent. Besides her arrangements, she also loved spending time with her grandchildren, writing stories, and keeping up with political events in Canada.
Her “Full of Life” spirit will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road (at Sumas Way), Abbotsford, BC. Burial will be at Maclure Road Cemetery, Abbotsford, with a luncheon following at Henderson’s.
Mom, you will be forever in our hearts!
