UNGER, Mary
March 19, 1929 - May 24, 2008
Mary passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on May 24, 2008 at her home surrounded by family members. Mary was born in Manitoba and moved with her family to Yarrow in 1944. She married John Unger on July 16, 1955. They resided in Yarrow for 64 years. Mary was a school teacher, and then became a loving mother and grandmother to four children, and eight grandchildren. Mary will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband John; her children Lois (Erv) Warkentin, Mark (Sheryl), Eunice (Stan) Kroeker, Paul (Kathryn); her grandchildren Logan and Clayton Warkentin, Shauna and Travis Unger, Vanessa and Jason Kroeker, Nathanael and Hannah Unger; her sisters Martha, Annie and Erma Wiebe. She was predeceased by her sister Kay Wiebe in 2006. Viewing will be held on Friday, May 30 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Yarrow Cemetery, followed by a memorial service in Yarrow MB Church, 41995 Yarrow Central Rd., Yarrow, BC at 11:30 a.m. The family would like to thank the staff at Tabor Court for all of their care since moving there recently from Yarrow.
