Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 3, 2016 at the Hallmark Assisted Living in Abbotsford, 6 weeks short of her 100th birthday. Mary was born May 21, 1916 in the small community of Netley, Manitoba where she went to school, later marrying her husband Michael. They farmed for several years, she later moved to Winnipeg and was employed by Winnipeg Laundry and also Eaton's from which she retired. She is survived by her daughters Olive (Eric) Neilson of Penticton and Shirley (Joseph) Solypa of Abbotsford, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father Stephen Biy, mother Fanny, brother Bill, sisters Julia, Anne and Victoria, grandson Grant, granddaughter Barbara, also her friend and companion of many years, Murray Fundytus. Internment to follow at a later date in Manitoba.
