Mary Schmidt of Abbotsford, BC passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband, William, her daughter, Loreen Forsythe, her sister, Katie Baerg, and her brothers, Peter, Victor, and Abe Toews.
She leaves to mourn her children, Leona Thiessen, William and Lillian, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at Bakerview Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road at 3:00 p.m. This will be preceded by a viewing at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road from 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. and interment at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery at 2:00.
