Mary Mantler, late of Chilliwack, BC passed away July 25, 2004 at Tabor Home, Abbotsford, BC at the age of 102 years. She was born on February 16, 1902 in Delinovka, New Samaria, Russia. A service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 30, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Eden Mennonite Church, 46551 Chilliwack Central Rd. Chilliwack, BC. A private Family Interment will precede the service at the Greendale Cemetery, Watson Rd, Sardis, BC. In her earlier years, Mary was active in the Red Cross and in her home church. She is survived by one son, John (Mary) Mantler; three grandchildren, Marilyn (Lionel) Stehr, Allan (Lynda) Mantler and Beverly (Ian) Chance; seven great grandchildren, Jeff, Craig, Mitchell Stehr, Melissa Bartlett, Adam, Cody and Tamara Chance. Her husband, Peter in 1985; son, William in 1982, daughter in law Mildred Mantler in 2000; granddaughter, Barbara Bartlett in 2000 and grandson, Robert Mantler in 1962,predeceased her. The family wishes to thank Dr. Winner and the staff at Tabor Home, for all the loving care given to our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
