HUNTER; Mary Wilson (Mae). Aug. 13, 1921 ~ Jan. 21, 2014. Mae passed away peacefully in Abbotsford on January 21, 2014 at the age of 92 with her family by her side. She was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. After her marriage to Robert (Bob) Hunter (deceased 1989) she came to Canada in 1946 as a proud war bride, sailing to Halifax on the Queen Mary and then travelling across Canada to the west coast by train. Although Canada was home for the majority of her life, she always loved to celebrate her Scottish heritage. Mae is survived by her sister, Margaret T. Burns; daughter, Donna Newson, son, David (Debby); six grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer), Sandra (Andrew), Aisha, Myriah (Hacienda), Ebonee, and Jemeika; along with eleven great grandchildren, Elijah, Alannah, Jordyn, Trinity, Brooklyn, Kayden, CheyeAnne, Sean, Ashlyn, Corbin and Quinn. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at Hazelwood Cemetery, Abbotsford, BC.
