December 20, 1921 - April 23, 2019
Mary passed away at the age of 97 at the Oxford Care facility in Clearbrook, BC.

"I just want to go home!" she announced to several family members in the last few days!

She is survived by her family; Lloyd (Monica), Gerry (Sandy), David (Pat), Mike (Jayne), Monica Dickson, Ken (Kelli), Rita Allen (Joel), 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as extended family and friends.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Rene (2015), her son-in-law Malcolm Dickson, her granddaughter Kirsten Stazyk, and 9 brothers and sisters.

Mary was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan. Word has it that when the Renner family left Viscount for the Coast, they had to close the Elementary school because there were no longer enough students to keep it open.

Throughout her 97 years Mary has enjoyed her large and still growing family, RVing with Rene at numerous places in Canada and the U.S., camping and BBQing at Black Mountain Ranch, and fishing with Rene in their small aluminum boat. They would play "Bridge" at "Friendship House" in Abbotsford, which was a highlight of their week. Mary was a talented seamstress, and was an active member of the Catholic Women's League at St. Ann's Church and taught catechism.

Over 40 years ago, in 1977, Mom and Dad joined a small group of family members at the State Park in Oroville, Washington, for the May holiday weekend -- the beginning of an annual "pilgrimage" with the entire family to this Okanagan hotspot. The whole family continues to enjoy this Forcier Family Reunion every May long weekend.

Mary and Rene lived a long and happy life in Surrey and then in Abbotsford.

Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 11 am at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC.

Enjoy your NEW HOME now, Mom, and we will miss you a lot!
