After a short, but heroic battle with cancer Mary Catherine Rita (Kate) passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord Thursday October, 6, 2005 at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission, B.C.
Born January 11, 1937 in Manchester, England, she was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ethel O’Hara and brother Peter. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Joseph, daughters Jane Hall (Stephen) and Louise, and sons Chris (Chantal) and Damian (Cher), 9 grandchildren; Victoria, Tristan, Adrian, Grace, Martin, Allison, Kieran, Liam and Noah, her sister Monica Roddis (Malcolm) and many other extended family and friends.
Kate worked for the Fraser Valley Regional Library for 25 years. She had a passion for art and music that was expressed through painting and drumming. She especially loved her family and we will all miss her sense of humour and her love.
Prayers will be held at 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Avenue, Abbotsford, BC. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am Wednesday, October 12, 2005.
