O'DONNELL; Mary Ann
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Mary Ann O’Donnell (Sharp) on September 15th, 2016 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Mary Ann was born on September 9th, 1946 in New Westminster, BC. Mary Ann moved to Abbotsford at a young age and graduated from Abbotsford Senior in 1964. While raising her family, Mary Ann worked for BC Tel (Telus) and BCAA. Mary Ann was a caring, giving and compassionate woman who loved life with a special place in her heart for animals. She had a great sense of humor and loved her family and friends immensely. Mary Ann enjoyed the outdoors, nature, baking, knitting, and playing with her grandchildren. Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Lyle, sons Ryan (Jennifer), Kevin, her sister Barbara Buchanan (Darryl), grandchildren Brooke, Kaeden, and Morgan; several relatives and friends. We know no greater loss than the loss of “Mom”. Mary Ann is predeceased by her parents James (1995) and Dorothy (2014) Sharp. The family will be opening up their residence to family and friends to celebrate Mary Ann’s life on Sunday, September 25th, 2016 between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The family would like to thank the BC Ambulance Service, Abbotsford Fire Department, Dr. Burke and the Emergency Staff at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital for all the care they provided Mary Ann. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations be made in Mary Ann’s name to the BC SPCA.
