Marlies Grychuk

Marlies Grychuk late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on June 19, 2017 at the age of 90, six weeks before her 91st birthday. She is survived by her son Ken and her grandson Tyson. Marlies was predeceased by her first husband Theo Lange and second husband Frank Grychuk. Marlies was born in Hannover, Germany in 1926 and she and son Ken immigrated to Canada in 1958. They resided in Dawson City, Yukon for 8 years where Marlies met and married Frank. In 1966 Marlies and Frank moved the Fraser Valley, first to Chilliwack and then to Abbotsford. Mom had many friends and was devoted to her church. She loved to entertain, was a talented baker and everyone looked forward to her delicious treats at her many dinner parties. She was an innovative decorator and always managed to make her home beautiful and comfortable. Mom and Grandma will be greatly missed by son Ken and grandson Tyson. No service by request.
