BRADSHAW; Mark Ronald

October 2, 1957 ~ August 20, 2015


Born in Invermere, BC, Mark graduated from David Thompson Secondary School in 1975. Completing his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Victoria in 1981, and his teaching certificate in 1982, he later attended both McGill University and University of Laval to complete his diploma in Special Education. Mark taught secondary school in Bella Coola for five years, but spent the majority of his career in Mission, BC, where he taught at Hatzic Secondary the subjects: Special Education, French, Science and Biology. Mark was a brilliant defender of both student and teacher rights, and this propelled him to his deep commitment to social, political and union roles and activities. Prior to his passing, Mark served as President of the Mission Teachers' Union. Mark will be interred in Invermere, BC. A celebration of Mark's life will be held at Hatzic Secondary on September 25, 2015 at 3:30 pm.
