Maria Schroeder (nee Nickel), late of Tabor Home, Abbotsford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at the age of 90 years.
She was born in Poland, February 14, 1913; married Peter Schroeder in 1935 and immigrated to Canada in 1948. They moved to Abbotsford in 1951 where they farmed in Peardonville until their retirement due to illness in 1968.
Mourning her passing are her 5 children; Sig (Helen), Bruno (Liz), Hanna Kartye (Peter), Inge Sutton (Keith), Rudy (Dianne); 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held on January 17, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clearbrook Mennonite Church, Peardonville Road. Interment at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee gratefully accepted.
