Maria Aleta passed into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ June 3, 2007 at MSA Hospital. Maria was born in Crystal City, Manitoba, December 24, 1924. She is survived by two Âbrothers, Dirk and Andrew Bergsma; two sisters, Hilda Scholte and Evelyn vandeKraak; four children, Gerard, Aleta, Stephen and Annette; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A celebration of Maria's life will be held Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:00 am at Northwood United Church, 8855 - 156th St., Surrey, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donated funds will be used for a park bench in Maria's name at the Menno Home where she lived for several years, and to the Gideon's for Bibles.
