MANKY, A. Marge (O.T.)
September 18, 1928 - March 21, 2016
In the early afternoon of March 21st, Marge went home to be with her Lord and Saviour at the age of 87 years. Born in Killarney, Manitoba, she spent the first half of her life in southern Manitoba. In 1950 she married her sweetheart Leon and they had three children ~ Brian, Bruce and Brenda. In 1966 they moved from Winnipeg to Abbotsford where she remained for the rest of her life. Marge was known for her hospitality and lavish meals. She loved music and played piano and guitar by ear. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, canning and looking after her home. She especially enjoyed caring for and entertaining her grandchildren. Marge prayed daily for her family and friends. Her greatest desire was that every one of them would one day be reunited in Heaven. After 65 years of marriage she was predeceased by her husband, Leon just 7 months to the day. She is survived by her sons Brian (Jean), Bruce, daughter Brenda (Randy), brother Ed (Carol), sister Emmy (Henry), seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 8th at 1:00 pm at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Road. The family would like to thank the staff at Menno Home where Mom spent the last 3 months of her life in their loving, compassionate care.
