Margaret Wiebe of Abbotsford, BC passed away on Sunday, May 3rd at Valhaven Care Home. After years of waiting, she is now with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Margaret was born on May 16, 1923 in Ekaterinoslav, Russia to Cornelius and Susanna Wiebe. She immigrated with the family to Canada, where they initially settled in Alberta, later in Sumas Prairie and then as an adult she moved to Clearbrook.
he was predeceased by her parents, her sister Freda (Henry), sister Carol (Fred), brother Neil (Kay, Lou) and brother John (Dorie). She will be missed by her sisters Susie (Ken, Al), Olga (Jake), Alvina (Johnny), brother Jake (Agnes), sister-in-law Lorna and many special friends, nieces and nephews. The family was looking forward to celebrating her 97th birthday in a couple weeks.
Margaret worked for the City of Abbotsford for thirty years, a job she thoroughly loved. She enjoyed travelling with her friends, going shopping and was gifted at crocheting. She had a strong relationship with Jesus and loved to worship Him with her voice, as she sang in the church choirs in Yarrow MB and Bakerview MB.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff at Valhaven for the exceptional care Margaret received. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tabor Home (Valhaven) or Bakerview MB Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
