LOUGHLIN; Margaret
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, Mom and Nana on June 4, 2015. Margaret is survived her loving husband, Jack of 57 years; her children Sandra (Stew), Brian (Sheryl), Barry (Benita) and Susan. Also saddened by her loss are her precious grandchildren: Samantha, Jamie, Amelia (Alexander), Tyler, Camilla, Spencer, Liam and Carlene; her brother Jack, her sister Joyce, her special cousin Sandra and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Dorothy and Frances. Margaret was born to Elizabeth & Frank Dorward in Dundee, Scotland on September 23, 1931. Margaret's confident and compassionate character led her to a career in nursing. Her adventurous spirit had her answer a call for Scottish nurses in Canada, landing her in the small town of Viking, Alberta in 1955. It was here that she met Jack, the love of her life. Margaret and Jack were married in 1958 after Jack's graduation from dental school, beginning their lifelong adventure together. They landed permanently in Abbotsford in 1959 to start their family. Margaret was the heart and soul of the family, the neighbourhood nurse and the compassionate caregiver and volunteer to those in need. She had a wide circle of friends and loved her afternoon bridge groups. She was the most proud of her beautiful grandchildren and never miss- ed an opportunity to babysit or attend a concert, recital or convocation. Margaret had a way of making each of her children and grandchildren feel like 'the special one'. We will miss you dearly but will love you forever. A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to one of Mom's favourite charities, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, CNIB, the Salvation Army, PBS or to a charity of your own choosing.
