Margaret Jane (nee Trimble) Clinging

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to our Mother and Grandmother. Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of June 22, 2006.

Margaret is survived by her sons John (Wahyu) and Victor; grandchildren Emma (Mark), William (Shauna), John-Paul (Ritz), Victoria, JoAnne, Sisca, Vanda (Thor) and Reno; and Great-Grandchildren Connor, Liam, Rowan, Devlan, Hannah, Sage, and Emma. Also by brother William and sisters Eileen, Florrie, Lilias and Betty, as well as by many dear friends. Predeceased by husband William in 1966 and siblings Kathleen and Herbert.

Margaret was born on a small farm in Co. Tyrone, Ireland on July 12, 1920. She married William in 1941. Margaret came to Canada in 1976, directly to Mission. She worked for the Fraser Valley Homemakers Society and was very active with All Saints Anglican Church and Mission Hospital Auxiliary. She was a keen lawn bowler and carpet bowler.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 28 at All Saints Anglican Church. Those wishing to make a memorial tribute in Margaret’s name may do so to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
