Margaret (nee Giesbrecht) went peacefully to be with her Lord on October 9, 2006. She was preÂdeceased by her husband Peter in 1992. She was also preÂdeceased by her parents, Cornelius and Aganetha Giesbrecht and her sisters Lena in infancy, Nettie Klassen, Hilda Hamm, Susie Derksen and her only brother, Ed. She is survived by her children, Sharon Turk (Larry), Verne (Judy), Dianne Schellenberg (Ted) and Rick (Gloria), 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters Marie Stoesz (Bill), Trudie Unrau, Annie Loewen, Tina Stoesz (Henry), and her brother-in-law George Hamm. She enjoyed being a homemaker and her love for children was evident by the number of foster children placed in her care. When her husband retired she entered the work force at the University of Manitoba Food Services and loved the huge kitchen and serving at gala parties for the university administration. In 1986 mom and dad moved to Abbotsford, BC where they continued their worship of the Lord at Grace Church. Mom invited many friends, young and old, into their home for meals and fellowship. Mom loved to watch baseball and curling, and was an active bowler. Her last year was a struggle after receiving a pacemaker in January of this year.
